 No sewing today but ,a long put off chore is done, I de-cluttered my bedroom and closet.  Where did all that stuff come from?  I know where it did not go and that was back in my room and/or my closet.  I pulled approximately 25 t-shirts off of hangers that I haven't worn in like this decade.  Also 10 pairs of jeans, as I am pretty confident that I will never see size 12 again and if I do, then I will be going on one heck of a shopping spree for new duds.  Tomorrow I am calling the carpet cleaners and hopefully they will be out here Friday to get the grime out of the carpets once last time. (said for the 15th time while still waiting for my new wood floors.) Either way, I am going to the sewing studio Friday and working on something, most likely the spring table runner that has laid on my sewing table for a month now. 

This year is going to be all about me and mine (except for my babies in need).  We are in need of quilts in this house and the boy's.  I have several quilts cut out and ready to piece, so those get done first.  I am also ready to put my BIL's quilt into the frame for quilting, hopefully that will be done this weekend.  It is going to have more quilting then I have ever done on a quilt and I am anxious to get started.  But I have some ruler practicing to do first. 

We stayed home last night and were in bed by 10:30.  I was pretty sure the New Year would come in whether I was awake or not and anyway, I saw it come in in Sydney and Hong Kong,  that counts doesn't it?  But.....I did wake up at 11:45 and watched it happen on TV, listened to the neighbors shoot off the shotguns, hushed the dog and went directly back to sleep.
