Can I Make a Quilt Out Of Hubbies Truck?

Believe me up until about 2 hours ago, I was contemplating that very fact.  Hubby has a big old diesel dually that is his pride and joy, just underneath the grandchildren in joyful.  He took off to go visit his cousin a few weeks ago and I was going to go to town and drive "The Big Truck" cause he took mine. Nope, I didn't get to go, it WOULD NOT START!  Hasn't started since.  Finally diagnosed what was wrong and ordered $600 part to put on it, this will be #2   $600 part we have put on it plus the $3500 transmission.  This vehicle doesn't even have 70,000 miles on it and it is bleeding us to death.  Yesterday, he gets on line to see about recalls, just with a glimmer of hope he missed something AND HE DID!  PTL  But so did the dealership. The part was not right when it went into the truck at birth and they extended the warranty on it up to 11 years.  Awwwww, you might say with relief, but not yet.  We now have to convince the supplier that has already mailed us the $600 part to take it back.  LOL, I really wasn't going to try to make a quilt out of hubby's truck.  I was going to shoot it with the shotgun.  No, I wouldn't do that either.  But hurray for us and hubby's ingenious use of the internet. 

Now how about quilting?  Haven't gotten a thing done.  I have decided I am over-thinking this blog thing and just need to relax and good things will come to those that are patient.  So tomorrow I have promised myself that I am working in my sewing room and get it all prettied up and be ready to enjoy sewing in by the end of the day or at least the end of the day on Wednesday. 

Camera is all fired up and ready to take before and after shots. And I might, just maybe, let you all see my stash.  And my UFO"S  And my I think I can make this work items.  Oh my, you probably will be feeling so sorry for me when this is over.  I can think the process, I can see it in my head, but for some reason it just don't always turn out right for me.   LOL  but I do have fun

Satisfying Saturday Shenanigans

I do worry about myself sometimes, I am such an over achiever and while my mind is ripping around willy-nilly, who knows what the fingers may have said via the keyboard.  I saw a post I did last night and I promise all of you, I was not drunk, but I couldn't even figure my post out.  Yep, I worry myself sometimes. 
I am currently involved in  learning to use less words and get more action and I find it very interesting what can be said with less then 140 words and still make sense. Better then I made last night in that post.  
Hopefully today I can get some pictures of my quilts uploaded on here and then get busy working on affiliations.

Wickedly WoWed That It Is Wednesday

I am sure glad it is the middle of the week, makes the weekend to come sooner.  I woke up way too early this morning but instead of doing what I normally do, sit down at the computer, I jumped right in and finished cleaning the kitchen, wiped down the cabs, and mopped the floor.  Two loads of laundry done and another one washing.  I have the feeling this is going to be a good day.  Heading to the sewing room to organize and then start the baby quilt that is chocolate background, pinks bubbles and turquoise squares or the other way around. All that will be done with my new AccuQuiltGo.  Later Blogers and Blogettes.

Feeling a Wee Bit Better

I do believe I am feeling a bit better this evening then I have been.  Maybe things are healing.  Although, I know gripe gripe gripe all the time, but my neck really does hurt.  I have steel plates and it usually means a nasty weather change coming.  So, alright already, change and be done so my neck will quit hurting.  Things on the blog sites are rolling along quite nicely.  I think the Cupcake will be the first running as it is something I can sit back and let my partner do all the baking and making while I work on this site.  Have a PR letter up and ready to go out, if any of you can head me to the right directions to get my foot in the door for reviews, especially books, quilting, such as that, I would be very appreciative. 
In the short while that I have been on here, I have met some great folks and that makes it more comfortable for me.  I also am afraid I might be labeled the "winning hog" as I have won two of the giveaways, very nice giveaways I might say.  Thank you Jo and Mama. I also have been influenced into redoing my sewing room and I am getting excited about that.  Have some great ideas. 
Going to run out and spend some quality time with hubs and will be back at work tomorrow. 

Monday Again

Still hanging around with the grumpy sicky funk still hanging on.  This has to end soon. Need to pump this Blog up and  get some people in here doing something or I may just give it up for a couple of weeks and maybe get to feeling better if I take some of the "self induced stressors" out of the way for a bit. Will check back in a few.

Funky Friday

I haven't gotten much done this week because of the puny's.  I did cut some blocks with the AccuQuiltGo and am anxious to add more dies.  Broke my cardinal rule and purchased fabric to make a quilt for me.  Will scan and post pictures, I am so taken with the pattern and the fabric.  Since I was feeling better today, I made some lists and plans to get my sewing room better organized and more user appealing, in other words it sucks in that room and I hate going down to it.  Also I'm going to put the pressure on my DH (dear hubby) to finish my cutting table and make me some quilt hangers.  Sometime in the near future I am going to try my hand at designing another quilt, wish me luck on that, it took me 3 months the last time.  

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Tomorrow is the day to deliver Harvester's to the needy but the afternoon is mine and it will be time spent in the Sewing Dungeon making it pretty and fun!!!  Will post before and after pictures when done.

Confused and Getting More Confused

There seems to be something going on everyday on Blogspot.  I am trying to catch on but "aha" that is why I have a "Learning Curve"  takes me a while.
I just checked out something "Friendly Wednesday" where you can add your link and those of others that are listed there are for the taking if you want to follow them. And they say if I give them my link they will follow me.  I hope so, I am so new I look rather "friend embarrassed."   I ran across this blog this morning, thought it sounded interesting and want to go back and read how she feeds a family of 4 on $25...  Check her out yourself.

Still don't feel up to 100% but maybe will feel like doing something later today.  Going back to sleep for awhile. 

Failure of Gadgets and Gizmos

It appears that the user of this pc may have overpushed her luck today.  Now I  am seeing gadget and gizmo malfunctioning.  Have I mentioned that I am getting really confused? 

A Working Day

Besides feeling like someone has beat the dickens out of me and sleeping 18 out of 24 hours the past 2 days, I may just make it.  Just wanted to  touch bases and see if anything new was happeing out here.  I am pretty confused right now with all the different things that one can do from here and the most confusing right now is the networking blog thingy.  If anyone can help me please let me know.  Like I said I am confused.
