Martingale and Company
First off let me tell you something that some of you know and some of you don't. I am a book freak. I love books, I read books more then once, I don't think I will ever have enough books. And my favorite books are quilt books. I live for the ones I get in the mail. They are a huge deal to me.
Martingale and Company is celebrating 35
successful years of publishing quality quilt, knit, crochet, and craft books
and patterns. The company’s publications can be found in quilt, yarn, craft,
and fabric stores, bookstores, on Amazon, and at www.martingale-pub.com.
Founded in 1976 by Dan and Nancy J. Martin, the 100% employee-owned company has
40 people on staff, and almost all the employees quilt, knit, or craft during
off-work hours. (The quilters at the company have created more than 1,200
quilts!) See their full bio here About Martingale Martingale is also the home of That Patchwork Place.
What do the staff members want for Christmas? To keep spreading their
passion for creativity around the world!
I don't know if you're signed up to get Martingale's "Weekly Wows" which are special deals every Monday but if you aren't you really should be. The link above will take you to this weeks "WOW" and they have 6 fantastic offers. Drop over and shop a bit, I know there must be a special someone that is difficult to buy for and Martingale & Company can definitely make you the "premier" gift giver this year. Did you know they also have a book club? Yep they do and each month you are emailed the selection and are given time to either accept, decline, switch, etc.. The commitment is worth it and you get a book free!! Check it out here Insider Book Club

Another fun aspect of Martingale is that they have "e-books" for those that are green inclined. Last but not least, each week they have "Quirky Question" where they ask their website visitors a question just for fun. Email them your answer and you could win a gift! They post the winning
response each week, so watch for it along with the next week's question.

So I am still paying attention! :D
ReplyDeleteFrom the Martingale Company I would love it if they could put:
ReplyDeleteJelly Babies and The Little Box of Baby Quilts in the stocking.
I know that is two things but I can't decide which one is better so I am being greedy and asking for two!
Here is my latest project. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/51802232@N04/6452006165/in/photostream)
ReplyDeleteIt is Christmas Elves, the pattern is from: http://blog.revoluzzza.com/2010/12/23/last-minute-weihnachtswichtelchen/
We are 2 peas in a pod when it comes to reading!
ReplyDeleteWell, my goodness...I'll be waiting to see if I am the lucky Beth!
ReplyDeleteI've been a big fan of Martingale, but even so I had no idea about their book club. I'll be checking that out, and probably signing up when my budget allows.
If I were to choose one thing from Martingale to tuck into the stocking, it would be the "Urban Country Quilts" book. I really like the looks of it, and would like to settle in with it and choose a few projects.
I am not on Facebook, so couldn't "Like" them. I hope this won't disqualify me. I did update my profile with Martingale, and also answered their "Quirky Question".
Thanks for all you do, Jeanne. I hope all of this merry-making is bringing the Christmas spirit to your house, too.
And, yes, I'm still paying attention. I see I'm not the ony one! While I was writing my last comment, two more comments were added. Are you feeling popular? :)
ReplyDeleteWhoops--it doesn't look as if my last comment, indicating that I'm paying attention, appeared. (At least I was paying attention to that!) Well, that allows me to add that when I updated my Martingale profile, I indicated I had been referred to them by you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanne, for all the effort you are putting into sharing the Christmas spirit with us far-flung quilters. I hope you're feeling a bit better.
I went to the website for Martingale Company and had a look around. So many neat books! I'd love to have either Bloom Creek Quilts by Vicki Bellino or Moidern Basics by Amy Ellis in my stocking. (Maybe I can get some fun reading in during Christmas break from college :D)Thank you again for such a neat giveaway!

I went to facebook and Liked Martingale and Company, (publishing), but the link that you had
ReplyDeleteFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Martingale-CompanyThat-Patchwork-Place
did not work. I could not leave them a comment to thank them.
I do hope they put the book "Back to Charm School" in the stocking since we're quilters...
I'm still here and paying attention.
ReplyDeleteI was able to leave a comment on their facebook page and thank them for adding a surprise to the stocking by accessing their webpage and then clicking the facebook link. I told them that you sent me! I even gave them a hint to which book I wanted.
ReplyDeleteI am still paying attention. I do have another question...when you have written in red that says can only do this once, do you mean once the entire month or once ore day, even if you have 2 different sponsors formthe day?
ReplyDeleteAlso can you out up a rcap of your giveaway days so we can makesure we didn't miss any?
I would like to see the Charm School book, it looks great!

Still paying attention. (My paying attention comment disappeared, and I ended up leaving the mandatory Martingale comment instead of the paying attention comment. Seems like I often put all the mandatory entry comments in one comment. I'm trying to clear up the confusion so I can be entered for the incredible stocking!)
