Winners of St, Patrick's Day Blog Hop Party

Winners of the St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop Party
Mr. Random dot Org was not cooperative with me so Mr. Learning Curve chose the 2 winners from the hat for my giveaway

#1 Winner: Cornelia who said:  "That is STINKIN' cute!! Love, love, love it. I think she definitely needs a rotary cutter and a stack of fat quarters."

#2 Winner Binks who said:  "hehehe...so cute. I have quite a stash of Lego sets (mainly Harry Potter). But I love this one. It's so perfectly girly.  I think she definitely needs some bolts of fabric."

Do you see that tiny rotary cutter and the spools of thread, yep that is a glass so you can join #gdas on   Friday nights.

Thank you both for entering and Congratulations!!!   I will put an email in your box in a short minute. There is a highlighted area in the next paragraph that is to both of you.

Let me know how you felt about this giveaway.   It sure received a lot of nice comments.  If enough people like it, I will try to do a couple of more "outside the box" giveaways this year.

Thank you to all who entered and chose to become new followers of my blog or twitter.  I loved all the suggestions about additions to the studio and believe me when I say, I tried to make them all work.   The winners will each get a Lego Sewing Machine and hopefully a table to set it on and a chair to sit in.  Hopefully a cutting mat and rotary cutter will go their way.  And I will be adding a
few tiny fabric bolts, a set of tiny "stacked cakes" (I cannot call them "Layer Cakes or Charm Packs" those names belong to someone else, ergo  "Stacked Cakes" it is along with a design wall set up and who knows whatever else I may add.    What I do want from the winners is for each of them to come up with something that will be added to the "Design Studio".   For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, I stepped outside of the norm for this giveaway and chose to give my winners a chance to win some "LEGO" in the form of a design studio.  See pics. at the end of post.
Business as usual today.  I have a quilt ready to do some (and I need to say, My First) Trapunto quilting. If I am not too embarrassed of my efforts, I will post some pictures.  This quilt has been a pain in the hiney since the day I agreed to do it and I will definitely be happy when it is finally done.  But on the other hand, I have learned a few things about this "type of quilt.

I seem to always need to be involved in something. While being in the hospital, on bed rest and then chair-rest for a few weeks,  my hands may have been idle but may brain was still working.  We probably would have been far better off keeping my hands busy and my brain idle LOL.  I have started and we are in the midst of  "A Year of Rugs" and now I am setting up a "Civil War Quilt Along".  I also have something on the back burner that I would love to share with all of you, but I just can't at this time.  We have hit a couple of snags in the road and it has slowed down what we are doing but we are definitely still trying to get it all pulled together.  I promise, you will be the first to know what is cooking here at the Gwin's.

That's all I have for now!

  1. Congratz to both winners! I'd love my own design studio. If I can't have a full size one, Lego it is.

Hope you are feeling better and please don't overdo anything. Looking forward to all you have planned but we'll wait. We want you to be 100%!!
