It's My Birthday

Oh the excitement of the day.  I am giving away some fabric and a quilt book.  Leave me a comment here and tell me if it was your birthday, what would you do.  That's it. I will put a picture up when I get home later today of what the winner gets.  I will let Mr. R.O do the picking.  Ends at midnight Nov.8, 2011.  If you feel so inclined, pass the word for me.  I am going to be gone until late afternoon tomorrow and won't have a chance.  One winner for the book and fabric.......Thanks

Hugs pals,

Jeanne

  2. What we'd do in a perfect world? Or what we'd really do?

On my birthday this year (my 30th, as it happened!) I made a giant batch of cookies and then watched a cheesy Hallmark movie. (*sigh* I'd really been hoping for that surprise 30th party, but apparently my husband didn't get the memo)

But in a perfect world I would love to be free to spend the day with my family - no cooking, cleaning or any boring housework! (Unless my husband is offering to do it!) Maybe a picnic. (Topped off with an evening of quilting, of course!)

  3. Happy Birthday... I would love to spend the day quilting. No watching the kids, picking them up from school, no making meals... no dishes, no laundry, no errands...

  4. Happy Birthday!

I´d have breakfast with my fiance in my favourite cafe and a family celebration in the afternoon.

It will happen on Thursday because that´s my birthday ;-)

  5. Happy Birthday! Ohh, exciting! I think I would go to the largest local bookstore, and hunt for new quilt books, and then go out to eat at a favorite restaurant -- maybe followed by a rented movie to watch at home?

  6. Happy Birthday!!
I love spending my day with my children and husband, I would prefer the weather to be better - I am a winter baby. But I love to wander the second hand shops, especially book stores and then have a nice night out at a family restaurant.
Happy Birthday again - hope you had a lovely day.

  7. I'd spend all day with my beloved - nice long breakfast, a walk, yummy dinner, lots of cuddling up. Enjoy being together and having nothing else to do. :)

  10. Happy Birthday Jeanne!
Hmm...what tom do on my birthday. That's a hard one for me since I have all the time in the world to do what I want. I would love to go on a trip with Hubs overnight, maybe to a spa and resort.

  11. I would sleep in! My son is an early riser...like 5 am! So even 7 am would be nice!

  12. Happy birthday! If it was my birthday, I would probably pick out a place that my husband would take me and our son out to eat without complaining. He doesn't like "people" but would tolerate them to take me out for my birthday.

I would also quilt the whole time my son was at pre-school. No housework on my b-day!

  13. Happy Birthday. As I have my gchildren every day, on my birthday I want to be left alone in my sewing room - and taken out to dinner!

  14. Wishing you a happy birthday! My birthday is on New Years Day and my sister usually invites the family for dinner and always a delish dessert (which I can take home!!) So I spend my day doing whatever my hearts desire and love it!!

  15. My birthday is October 13th and well, I didn't really have a birthday this year. Meaning,I didn't have presents, cake, or a celebration of any kind. I was away from home. I am telling you that I still want me some of my cake! LOL.:-)

Anyway, I did go to a couple of quilt shops near where I was staying and purchased some lovely fabrics on my birthday. I posted about my day on my blog.

  16. Happy Birthday! What would I do if it was my birthday, well whatever I felt like doing that day, depending on the weather as my special day is in April. It would probably still mean going for an early morning walk with Honey, my little dog, she looooves her walk. :)

  17. Happy Birthday! If it was my birthday, I would spend the morning shopping all the fabric stores in town. Then head out to a late lunch with some friends and then spend the evening sewing and cutting the new fabric I just bought. :)

  20. I love spending my birthdays in a very cozy, low-key, stay-at-home way, so I am reminded of all the blessings in my life. I sew a little, watch something on tv that I love (perhaps the Yankees), get a take-out dinner that is a delicious splurge, and just feel thankful to be me, now.

I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful year for you, and that all your surprises will be happy ones.

  25. I don't do any cooking on my birthday! I would spend the day doing my favourite things, followed by a nice dinner. I have a summer birthday, so gardening is a favourite, getting out in the sunshine. If I had a November birthday like you, I think I would be quilting. Happy Birthday to you!
