Saturday Jan 5th News of Note

I swore off of talking about being sick but I have to fall into the old trap and tell you all "I am still sicker then a dog".  I am currently taking my 6th round of antibiotics and aside from the "Chemo Burst" delivered in the hospital, I am on my 3rd round of tapering steroids.  I have decided it will either cure me or kill me and I am opting for the first choice.  LOL

Moving on, I have been busy with the computer since I don't have the energy, nor the air, to do much housework and I haven't felt like entering the sewing studio to do fun things yet.  I am working on all those giveaways I have had ****winners, your packages are ready to be mailed, I am waiting on my gal to take them to the post office**** and the giveaways I have planned, which I know you all are going to love when they happen.  So what if you get something wintery in the spring, right?  Right!!!!

Steve was down with a bad cold for 2 weeks and my friend Marilyn had it for a week.  Now our poor little Maverick is puny and I know we were the ones that made him sick.  He just lays on my lap, across my shoulder or behind my back and sleeps.  Tiny little fella.  He is perking up a bit today so must be on the mend.  This is his Christmas picture.

Check out my sidebar, there are a ton of SewAlongs, BOM's, QAL's, Swaps, Hops and More that it is not too late for you to join in.  I am also going to do some "Linking Up" this year (I think, trying to learn about it anyway.)  LOL

Connor spent this week with us and we had so much fun.  I took him home yesterday and of course couldn't get through Bolivar without stopping at my new found quilt shop down there.  And and "HOLY MOLY", there is another one there now.  I will be telling you about these shops in the coming weeks.  And wait until you see the bargains and beauties I found.  I am excited....................

Have a great weekend and I will talk to you all Monday!!

  1. Oh my sorry about how sick you have been...hope it leaves your home & all of you real soon. Take care.

  2. Aww...feel better soon, Jeanne. You have so much to do and so much for us to see.

  3. Really hope you feel much better real soon Jeanne!!! (((HUGS)))

  4. I hope you are starting to feel a little better. I'm sure there are more quiet ones wishing you well also. Put your feet up, wrap a blanket around Maverick and enjoy some free time if you can.

  5. Well my dear, you are not alone. I heard on the news tonight that 80% of the country is sick! That is amazing. Please, please take care of yourself and just get better. Hey, if someone gets something in the spring that is meant for winter, think how happy they will be that they are months ahead of the game, hehe. So, a new quilt store huh? Isn't that fun? Wish you were closer to join our group of ladies. Once a month we meet and sew together and a few times we have made the day a "fun day/field trip" kind of day and driven to different quilt shops a few towns away. It's always fun discovering new treasures! Have a few more cuddle days with Mavrick and get well soon k? I'm glad that you have been able to check in and update us. Sending you healing hugs!! xoxo
